Gaming Floor

The gaming floor at Genting Bolton is on the small side and can get rather busy in the evenings especially at the weekends. Still, they offer customers a choice of 8 tables to play on and have arranged them all in a way that maximises the ground floor space.

Gamblers have a choice of four American Roulette tables with minimum stakes of 50p and maximums of £100. They also have three Blackjack tables (£2 – £2,000), plus players can now play bonus side bets to add further excitement to the game.

Side bets include Pairs, Super 3 and Ultimate 3 with payouts reaching as much as 500:1. The progressive Blackjack Aces also offers a chance at a Mega, Major and Minor jackpot for just £1.

Finally, they have a single table of 3 – 5 Multi-win Poker.

On the left-hand side of the room and along the far wall is where you will find the electronic entertainment. Here you can play on 13 Sabre Multi-win roulette machines from 10p up to £100 or spin away on one of 20 slot machines from as little as 1p.

They also have two brand new IGT Crystal Dual machines which are loaded with brand new titles such as Icy Winds and Ocean Magic along with classics such as Cleopatra and Pharaoh’s Fortune.

A Rummy league also takes place in the dedicated card room every Monday and Wednesday plus they have Mahjong sets available for hire too.

Poker

The only poker at the casino is played at the 3 – 5 Multi-Win table. This is a three-card variation of the standard game where players aim to achieve the highest possible 3 card hand in order to beat the dealer. Additional 3 card and 5 card bonus side bets can also be made where you can win a payout for a good hand regardless of whether you beat the dealer or not.

If you are searching for a place to play tournament or cash games we suggest checking out one of our recommended online casinos. Not only will you be able to take part in an array of tournaments, but you can even get started 100% risk-free.

Bar & Restaurant

Unfortunately, they do not have a dedicated restaurant, but should you fancy a break from gaming you can head over to the late bar where you can catch up with friends and enjoy a refreshing drink or meal.

They have a wide range of beers, wines, spirits and champagne, or if you fancy something to eat you can choose from a large selection of snacks and meals from the All Day Menu. Dishes include curries, burgers, pizza and pasta and are available from midday until 5 am.

Promotions, Events & Entertainment

Genting Bolton is never short of promotions or special deals, but there is very little in terms of live events and entertainment so don’t come here expecting weekly tribute acts. Sports fans can, however, watch the football, boxing, cricket, rugby and more on 2 HD screens in the sports bar on the first floor.

One of their main attractions is slot tournaments. The rules can differ every time, but at the time of writing, you receive 50,000 credits for just £2 and the challenge is to lose the lot. The player that loses the most in 3 spins walks away with £200 cash!

Slots fans should also sign up for the slots club at the reception in order to keep up to date with the latest news on progressive jackpots, promos and the newest games.

The best place to find out about all upcoming events is by clicking the “What’s On” tab on their official website. Whilst you are there it is also worth taking a few minutes to check out the section on the Genting Rewards Program which will really help you make the most of every visit.

Other offers of interest include:

  • Free private room hire which is ideal for private events such as birthdays, wedding receptions and conference meetings. It even has its own private bar!
  • Friday Fizz – Pick up a bottle of Bottega Gold or Rose for £20 between 5 pm – 9 pm on Friday nights.

Parking & Transport

The casino offers free parking for its customers, however, it is worth noting that the car park is shared and you should pay attention to the signs to ensure you park on the correct side to avoid getting charged.

The nearest bus services run to and from the Market Place Shopping Centre with stops on both St George’s Road and Bridge Street. Bolton train station is also less than a mile away.

Dress Code, Membership & ID

The dress code is smart casual. Registration is not required although it is a good idea to sign up for free in order to benefit from the numerous promotions and free offers that are exclusive to members. Be sure to have your photo ID on you if you look under 21 or wish to become a member.

Summary

Genting Casino Bolton has received a low overall score due to its lack of space. The biggest means the tables can become rather crowded and it can be hard to move around especially at busier times. The small venue is also unable to offer any poker tournaments, nor do they have a restaurant so your options become quite limited.

Having said that they do provide the ability to participate in a Rummy league twice a week here which is unique for casinos. Plus, if you enjoy slots, Roulette, Blackjack or Three Card Poker it is worth a visit as you can still have a good time here.
