Formerly a theatre, circus, and nightlclub, the iconic 93,000 square foot building situated in the very heart of London’s West End benefited from a 40 million pound investment and re-opened as the Hippodrome Casino in 2012.

The Hippodrome is now not only the biggest and most visited Casino in the UK but is also London’s most popular entertainment venue that has welcomed more than 4 million guests through its doors since opening. The venue offers an incredible three entire floors of gaming, a dedicated poker room, a cabaret theatre, six bars, and a number of high roller private rooms.

Gaming Floor

The Hippodrome Casino offers the very best in table gaming along with the latest state of the art electronic games and slots from across the world. Both seasoned gamblers and casino novices will find something to suit their tastes here with more than 45 traditional tables spread across 3 entire floors of entertainment.

Just for an idea as to the scale of the venue we were told the casino employs more than 200 croupiers!

Each of the three floors offers a distinct gaming experience. The main floor occupies the heart of the former theatre with its full height ceiling stretching to the minstrel’s gallery.

Downstairs you will find Lola’s Underground Casino which can also be accessed via the China Town entrance. In addition to housing one of the few Dice tables in London, this unique casino environment now features a brand new 10 meter wide HD video wall where performers interact with a digital world!

Last but not least upstairs is home to further gaming rooms along with a salle prive that neighbours the cocktail bar.

When it comes to the games on offer not only does the Hippodrome offer Roulette (18 tables), Blackjack (15 tables), and 3 Card Poker (4 tables) but gamblers can also enjoy games not offered in many other London Casinos such as Casino War, Baccarat, Pai Gow, Dice, and more!

Bars & Restaurants

There are a total of six bars across the venue which are open until late although one bar will always stay open 24 hours in order to serve the 24-hour menu.

Overlooking the main gaming floor of the Hippodrome Casino you will find the Heliot Cocktail bar along with the Heliot Steak House restaurant which was recently voted the best Steak House by Bookatable customers in 2015.

The restaurant opens at 5 pm daily and boasts some of the best value USDA prime steaks in London.

Other options on the menu include traditional British favourites with a twist that have been designed by Executive Chef Barry Vera.

Entertainment

More than just a casino, the Hippodrome is the perfect destination for a night out.

The award-winning 180 seat Music and Cabaret theatre bring the biggest names in comedy, jazz, swing, and soul to the theatre with multiple shows every week. Previous performances have come from Michael Ball, Matt Cardle, and Jason Donovan.

In addition, there are weekly performances every Saturday from burlesque superstar Miss Polly Rae as well as Comedy at the Hippodrome every Wednesday.

Parking & Transport

Getting to and from the venue is easy thanks to a number of transport options. The nearest underground station is Leicester Square which serves the Northern and Piccadilly Lines. Bus services include the 24, 176, N5, and N20.

Dress Code, Membership & ID

There is a relaxed dress code at the Hippodrome Casino London, just be sure not to wear any offensive clothing or any caps or hats that may obstruct the view of the security cameras.

The venue is free to enter and operates an open door policy which means there is no need to register in order to use the facilities, you can just turn up and start playing your favourite games.
