Gaming Floor

If you have seen pictures or driven past Genting Casino Blackpool you may be pleasantly surprised to find out that the gaming floor is a little more spacious than you might expect. That’s not to say it is anywhere as large as Grosvenor’s offering down the road, but it is plenty big enough to not feel cramped or crowded whilst playing at the tables.

Speaking of which, this club themed casino offers the usual selection of traditional table games, all of which are available to play in the centre of the rather long and rectangular floor. Live games are available from 4 pm until 5 am Monday to Thursday, from 2 pm until 6 am on Friday and Saturday and from 2 pm until 5 am on Sunday.

In total there are 12 tables, 4 American Roulette (£1 – £100), 3 Blackjack tables (£3 – £1,000) and 1 Three Card Poker table (£3 – £200).

If you can’t find a maximum stake to suit your level of play then feel free to speak to a member of staff who will do their best to meet your requirements.

Gamblers who prefer the more modern approach will be able to play on any of the 20 multi-game slot machines which flank the walls. Some of these machines provide the ability to play for gigantic link jackpots too with the popular IGT Fort Knox offering the chance to win up to an incredible £20,000 progressive jackpot.

Alternatively, take a seat on any of the Novomatic slots and enjoy the added excitement of the Power Link progressive which has 3 jackpots up for grabs, all of which can be won from the minimum bet!

Their Sabre HD electronic roulette machines also allow you to place bets against one of the house dealers or the against the automated wheel via the large 26 inch HD display.

Poker

If poker is more your thing then you will be pleased to hear that Genting Casino Blackpool features tournaments and cash games 6 nights a week (Tuesday – Sunday). Full details on all competitions can be found on their official website or you can stay up to date by following their dedicated card room Facebook page.

Cash games will suit all levels of play and vary from £1/£1 No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha to £2/5 NLH and £5/£5 PLO.

Bar & Restaurant

The Fahrenheit branded restaurant is open from 5 pm – 11 pm daily and located at the far end of the gaming floor. You would be forgiven for forgetting that you were even at a casino when eating here though as the area has been well themed and is separated from the rest of the action by frosted glass panels.

Diners can select individually priced dishes from the fresh and innovative A La Carte menu, or for the best value, you can choose to dine from the “deal menu” which offers 2 courses for £11.95 or 3 courses for £14.95 per person. Please note that the deal menu is available Sunday – Thursday.

The late bar is situated on the floor just across from the tables so you can easily purchase a drink or grab a quick bite to eat from the All Day menu to replenish your energy in between games. They also have a couple of small lounge areas where you can take a seat and socialise or watch any of the live sport on their big screens.

Summary

This is the casino that most of the locals refer to as “the castle” and it is easy to see why due to its shape. Located on Queens Promenade, the venue overlooks the seafront and is just a short distance from the main tourist area which makes it easy to find and more importantly to park.

The venue took on more of a club theme during its renovation in 2013 and presents its customers with a fantastic choice of table games, poker and electronic entertainment. Add in the tasty restaurant and friendly bar and you end up with a great place to go for a fun-filled night out.
