Gaming Floor
Grosvenor Casino Manchester Soames is a relatively small venue that is split across two floors. The main entrance leads directly into the upstairs area which is home to over 20 electronic roulette terminals as well as a variety of slot machines.
These modern slots host some of the most popular games on the market including Lobstermania, Pharaohs Fortune, Cleopatra and Lucky Lady’s Charm. Not only that you, can also play for a huge progressive jackpot on the Fort Knox slots. If you’re curious about how much each machine paid out in the previous week just check out the Hot Slots board.
Downstairs is where you will find the live tables. It is worth bearing in mind that due to the lack of space, it can be a bit of a squeeze, especially at the weekend between 6 pm and 3 am.
Anyway, there are 10 tables in total offering gamblers the chance to play the usual games of American Roulette (50p – £400), Blackjack (£3 – £2000) and Three Card Poker (£2 – £200). There’s also another 10 electronic roulette terminals in the corner to play on too.
If you are new to the casino and not sure how to play just ask one of the friendly croupiers who will be happy to show you the ropes.
Poker
Poker fans will be disappointed to learn that there are no tournaments or cash games held at Grosvenor Soames.
If poker is more your thing we suggest checking out Grosvenor Casino Manchester (Bury New Road) where you will find a busy poker schedule in their 240 seater card room.
Alternatively, why not check out one of our recommended online casinos where you can play poker at a time to suit you with your free bonus cash?
Bar & Restaurant
The small but stylish bar and restaurant can be found tucked away in the corner downstairs. Customers can purchase a drink or snack from the bar and watch the action unfold opposite on the gaming floor.
If you are feeling hungry and fancy a sit-down meal you can order one of the delicious dishes that Grosvenor Casino’s are well known for. Signature grilled dishes include fillet steak and stone-baked pizza, however, if you fancy something else the a la carte menu offers something to suit all tastes.
The bar is open from 12 pm – 5:30 am daily (3:30 am Saturday). Restaurant hours are 6:30 pm – 1 am Monday to Saturday.
Promotions, Events & Entertainment
Locals that work in Manchester will want to talk to a member of the team about the ‘industry card’. This card will award you 20% of food and drink between 5 pm and 7 pm Monday to Friday.
Don’t forget to use your Grosvenor One reward card every time you visit to make the most of exclusive promotions, offers and discounts!
If you are looking for the complete casino experience including poker games and live regular entertainment then Grosvenor Soames is not the best choice of casino in Manchester to visit. Instead, you may prefer to check out the nearby Manchester 235 Casino.
Having said that they do still celebrate the biggest events of the year such as Christmas, plus sports fans can watch all of the live games, races, and fights live on Sky Sports.
Parking & Transport
The casino’s location in the heart of Chinatown provides easy access no matter which transport method you use. Free on road parking is available from 8 pm until 8 am directly outside. Customers that drive can also claim discounted parking for the nearby NCP multi story car park from reception.
If you prefer to use public transport you can hop on and off the multiple bus services that stop just feet from the venue on Princess Street. Alternatively, tram lines A, B, D, E, G, and H stop at St Peters Square which is just a 2-minute walk away.
Those coming from further a field can also use either Manchester Oxford Road or Manchester Picadilly main line train stations which are both around a 10-minute walk from the venue.
Dress Code, Membership & ID
The dress code is smart casual. The casino is free to enter but you must become a member first. Signing up is quick and easy, just remember to bring a valid photo ID with you on your first visit.

Summary
Whilst this casino offers the usual selection of table games and slots that will keep many players happy (albeit in a rather cozy environment), it unfortunately lacks poker tournaments and cash games which will no doubt send many gamblers elsewhere.
The stylish bar and restaurant area is also rather on the small side, so you may have an issue getting a table unless you book in advance.
Nonetheless, the venue has some great staff and the friendly atmosphere makes for a great night out.
