Manchester’s 235 Casino boasts one of the best card rooms in the City. Their 12 table poker lounge is open 24 hours over the weekend (7 pm Friday to 7:30 am Monday) and from 7 pm – 7:30 am Monday to Thursday.

Cash games start at £1-£1 with £1-£2, £1-£3, £2-£5 and £5-£5 games running regularly. Pot Limit Omaha and Dealers Choice are also big games here.

The weekly tournament schedule can be viewed here with most nights featuring a £1000 + guaranteed prize pool. Early birds that register before the tournament starts will receive a stack boost, plus every fifth tournament you register for is free!

 

Poker packages are also available which are ideal for beginners and seasoned pros alike. There are 3 different packages which start from £15 per person.

The basic package includes a drink on arrival, a two-hour private poker table with a dealer (your choice of a two-hour tournament or a one hour learn to play session followed by a one-hour tournament), and a free bet to play on Blackjack or Roulette.

Bars & Restaurant

The Vega Louge has quickly become one of the most popular places in Manchester to socialise with friends, even for those who have no interest in gambling.

You’ll find a large open bar serving a wide range of drinks and cocktails until 6 am, along with a selection of light bites, main meals and 235 specials. Plus there is complimentary wi-fi, plasma screens and regular live entertainment to enjoy too. The Icon VIP bar is an invitation only upscale lounge featuring private gaming tables.

If you are looking for somewhere special for dinner look no further than the luxurious James Martin Manchester restaurant. The seasonally changing a la carte menu uses the finest local produce and the Sunday Times named it as one of the top 100 restaurants in Britain in 2015-2016.

Opening hours are from 5 pm – 10 pm Monday to Thursday, 5 pm – 11 pm on Friday and Saturday and 12 pm – 5 pm on Sunday. The restaurant is located on its own mezzanine floor away from the main gaming area.

Parking & Transport

Parking is available in the Great Northern Warehouse multi-storey NCP car park which connects to the venue. Manchester 235 will pay the parking fee for all Total Rewards card holders (which is free to sign up for and certainly worth doing for the free car parking alone). Customers must get their ticket stamped at reception within 15 minutes of parking to take advantage of this offer.

Public transport options include using the 33, 63, 191 and 197 bus routes as well as the Metroshuttle 1, Metroshuttle 2 and The Witch Way X43.

The closest train station is Deansgate which is less than half a mile away, plus Salford Central and Manchester Oxford Road are both within easy walking distance.

Dress Code, Membership & ID

The dress code is smart casual. Entry is free however you must be aged 18 or over to use any of the facilities including the restaurants. ID may be required if you look under the age of 21, and will also be needed for any cash transactions of £1,500 or over.

No membership is required although signing up to the Total Rewards loyalty program has plenty of benefits including free parking.
