Gaming Floor

Casino 36 Wolverhampton is a Super Casino which opened in November 2016 after a huge £7.6 million investment transformed the site of the former Rubicon Casino.

The premier venue is one of only 16 across the UK to hold the 2005 Gambling Act License and offers incredible 24 gaming tables, 80 slot machines, electronic roulette terminals, pool tables and a private VIP area for high stakes gaming.

Table games offered include American Roulette with a minimum stake of only 50p, Three Card Poker from £1, and Blackjack tables from £3 where you can also place exciting side bets.

They also offer Mah Jong and Rummy, plus they also have a Big Six Wheel too! If it is your first visit and you are unsure of how to play just speak to one of the friendly staff will happily show you how to play any of the games on offer.

Fans of electronic gaming can enjoy numerous electronic roulette terminals as well as state of the art slot machines that include the brand new Novamatic VIP Royal. These incredible machines provide an immersive experience on two 50-inch screens whilst you sit in comfortable armchairs!

The slots are also integrated with the Wild Progressive random jackpots so you could end up walking away with a huge unexpected prize at any time. Last month alone their machines paid out an incredible £4,182,880.36 so there is plenty to be won!

The casino even has its very own bookies on-site where you can place in-play bets on sporting events from around the world whilst watching live on the huge screens. Don’t forget to cash out when you’re ahead of the game!

Unfortunately, Casino 36 do not currently offer any poker tournaments or cash games. This means poker players are limited to the Three Card variety which is a huge disappointment considering how much effort has been put into the rest of the venue.

One of the best alternatives is to visit their partner, Castle Hill Casino in Dudley which is 6.5 miles away. There you will find an 80 seat poker room that hosts a range of tournaments and daily cash games. Alternatively, why not give online poker a go?

Bar & Restaurant

Aside from the free soft drinks provided whilst playing at the tables they have a fully stocked sports bar where you can purchase stronger beverages whilst watching the game. Or, if you prefer a comfortable and luxurious environment they have a Champagne Lounge that serves spirits, liqueurs, beer, cider, cocktails, a selection of wines and of course, champagne.

Pan-Asian cuisine, burgers, hot dogs, soups, salads, pasta and a choice of delicious desserts are served at the Sports Bar and Grill. Meals start from as little as £1.95 plus there are a number of promotions such as buy one get one free on selected items 7 days a week!

Promotions, Events & Entertainment

Many of the rewards are tied to your membership card, however, ongoing promotions at the time of writing include 2-4-1 cocktails in the champagne lounge from 6 pm Friday – Sunday along with 2-4-1 deals on certain dishes from the Grill every day of the week.

Casino 36 Wolverhampton also likes to celebrate all of the big events on the calendar such as New Year, Valentines, Mothers Day and Christmas with special meal deals, offers and discounts. Feel free to check the events tab on their official website for up to date details.

When it comes to entertainment you can enjoy all of the live action on Sky, BT Sport, and Turf Tv at the Sports Bar on their huge HD screens. Not only that, you can make things even more exciting by placing in-play bets on your favourite team, horse, or athlete. If gambling isn’t your thing you could always head down, buy a pint and challenge your friends to a game of pool.

Parking & Transport

Casino 36 is only a two-minute walk from both the Mander Centre and the Wulfrun Centre in the heart of town where you can hop on and off all of the local bus services. Wolverhampton train station is less than a mile away and there are free spaces in the car park opposite the casino.

There is also an NCP car park right next to the venue which can be used if the free spaces are already taken, the current rate is only 60p per hour.

Dress Code, Membership & ID

The dress code is smart casual. Registering at the casino is straightforward, just bring a valid form of ID and speak to a member of staff at reception upon arrival in order to set up your free membership.

Casino 36 is the new name for the former Rubicon Casino after its £7.6 million pound makeover. The new super casino boasts 24-hour live gaming, a high stakes VIP area, Sports lounge and Grill complete with its own bookies, and an exclusive VIP Champagne Lounge.

The only thing that really lets it down is a lack of poker, however, this is still a fantastic venue which was designed to offer something for everyone, not just gamblers.
